Privacy Policy — Big Arcade
Big Arcade (the 'Service', bigarcade.net) offers a collection of free browser games you can play without signing up. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the Service, how cookies and third-party advertising work, and what rights you have. Last updated: 2026-06-15.
1. Information We Collect
The Service processes only the minimal information needed to play games.
- Nickname and scores: the nickname you type and your game scores are stored to power the leaderboards. A nickname does not need to be your real name.
- Session identifier: a random session key is used to prevent duplicate scores, even for guests who are not signed in.
- Account data (optional): only if you choose to register, a username and password (stored hashed) are kept. Registration is not required.
- Access data: to pick your display language automatically, the country inferred from your IP address is used transiently on connection. The IP address itself is not stored long-term.
2. Cookies and Local Storage
The Service uses cookies and browser local storage for the following purposes.
- Essential cookies: keeping your session, security (CSRF protection), and remembering your chosen language.
- Advertising cookies (third party): see the 'Google AdSense' section below.
- Local storage: some games may save settings such as sound or difficulty in your browser. This data is not sent to our servers.
3. Google AdSense Advertising
The Service may use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads), or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info. More on how Google uses data is available at 'How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps' (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
4. Analytics
The Service may use a privacy-friendly, cookieless visit-statistics tool to understand traffic. In that case individual users are not identified; only aggregated visit counts are seen.
5. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country) and does not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child's information has been entered, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
6. Data Retention and Security
Scores and nicknames are kept for as long as needed to run the leaderboards, and traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. We do not sell user information beyond the advertising and analytics described here.
7. Your Rights and Contact
You may request access to or deletion of data related to you. For privacy inquiries, contact admin@bigarcade.net. This policy may be updated to reflect legal or service changes; material changes will be posted on this page.
